CONTEST: Comment to Win an Organic Cotton Cardigan!
Winner
Our winner is Dianne for her comment: “I need some green in my closet to keep up with my son’s green closet. He currently is the only one in the house who has a complete green wardrobe and he’s making his parents look bad! I’ve loved the quality of hessnatur’s clothing for my son and would love to try something in the adult line. As parents normally do we put him first and made sure he’s had everything organic. On one salary that’s been hard but totally worth it. Our dream is that one day the whole family will wear nothing but organic cotton.”

I need some green in my closet because everything I currently have has fallen to the demise of my six month old twins or my previously burgeoning body that has yet to recover from carrying them. Not to mention my own clumsiness or the two dogs that wait at my feet when I eat or cook because they know I will eventually drop something. I am very grateful I am able to stay home to take care of my family with only my husband’s salary to support us all but it usually doesn’t provide much in the budget for new clothes. We are trying to raise the boys in an environmentally friendly home which is why we use cloth diapers and wipes made from recycled materials. Having this in my closet would provide something nice for me to wear when grandma and auntie come to babysit so daddy and I can go on a date or just when I run to the grocery store on my own so I can feel good about myself.

I need some green in my closet because I am totally ignorant when it comes to organic clothing, in fact it’s a completely new term to me. I would rather wear clothing that is organic against my skin, and clothing that is more natural.

First of all I like the color green and second because becoming vegan as of recent has allowed me to be more aware of what we are wasting in our society. It is being more aware of the natural process of things and knowing what we are killing off. Having something green in my closet would allow me to say I am contributing in a little but in a HUGE way.

I need some more green in my closet, because I love the feel and look of organic material. I already have a few organic pieces such as dresses, and I love them! Now, all I need is a cute cardigan to go with one of them.

I need some (more) green in my closet to help support and perpetuate the production of pesticide free products for me, my family, friends and the world. the current economic storm has wreaked havoc on our finances but I will still try to purchase products that are environmentally friendly to support the producers of said products as without purcasing their wares they cannot operate. I believe that the U.S. is fifth on the list of major producers of organic cotton, let’s try to make them number one by purchasing organic cotton that is made in the goood old U.S.A. Peace, John.

I’m nominating my mom, Joanne, because she needs green in her closet! When I saw this cardigan, I could picture is my mom showing it off. Not only is she an avid gardner, but she and my dad were my inspirations growing up to live a more eco-friendly lifestyle. They weren’t TreeHuggers by any means, but we did grow veggies, we recycled everything, and we always conserved energy & water. As I’ve grown older and incorporated it into my own lifestyle, my mom has been by my side the whole way, but eco-clothing is what she’s missing! I could picture her wearing this cardigan to her garden club meetings or tree commission meetings. Or simply when she is enjoying time with our family. I love the collection – nice job hessnatur!

The thing I love about this cardigan is that it is green in more ways than one–not only is it good for the planet but also good for bringing some cheerfulness to any outfit! Even if the weather outside is bleary, you could pull this on and know you’re doing good for the environment and for your mood! I love that the design is so unique and a statement piece–that way when people ask about it, you can tell them more about buying organic, why it’s important and about shopping at hessnatur! I am working on overhauling my closet and making it more green, and this would be an incredible addition!
